  • You can choose to not help Captain Trevik, and take the adra by force
  • You can trick Captain Trevik about helping him, but instead take the adra to Sapiento

In the conversation with Trevik, he informs you that Captain Bardatto is located to the east of Paradis, where they’re anticipating a meeting with Usher’s Hand. Upon your arrival, you’ll encounter both Bardatto and her armed escorts. It’s worth noting that this mission in Avowed may escalate into a conflict without warning.

Picking the third option and deceiving Captain Trevik will earn you the same rewards as defeating Bardatto, but without actually fighting her. For those who wish to assist Trevik, you’ll have to locate Bardatto for a conversation instead.

If you happen to possess the adra, you can hand it over, sparing Trevik, but Sapiento won’t be the one receiving it.

During this part of the mission, there are two primary approaches when interacting with Bardatto. But, remember, you possess dialogue choices that allow for negotiation with her.

  • You can choose to attack Bardatto outright, fighting her and her guards
  • You can choose to strike a deal with Bardatto, trading the adra for coin

Should you opt to confront Bardatto, expect a turbulent skirmish to ensue, which you must overcome. Notably, this clash occurs in the very region where you previously tracked down the Cartographer. As such, your prior knowledge of the terrain might serve as an advantage during this engagement.

In this confrontation with every member of Bardatto’s group, each one being a formidable tier-two combatant, and her ranking as a tier-two, level three adversary, it would be wise to have weapons and armor of superior quality. Despite this, the challenge can still be daunting depending on the game’s difficulty level. An alternative method to save Trevik is by striking a deal with Bardatto for the adra, earning you 500 coins in return. This decision spares Trevik’s life, but it means forgoing the reward from Sapiento in the game ‘Avowed’.
