Should Kona get the Thunderstone in Kingdom Come 2?

In Kingdom Come 2, giving the Thunderstone to the character named Kona, who initiates your quest, will yield the greatest compensation among the alternative choices.

1) She stands to gain the most by ensuring she holds onto the stone, as using it rewards you with Alchemy XP, the Lethean Water Alchemy recipe, a discount at the Grund Horse Trader vendor, and 100 Groschen if you accept her offer. If you decline her offer for the money, you’ll still receive everything else.

Essentially, if your aim is to maximize rewards, choose Kona’s path and adhere to the quest faithfully. Once you get the Thunderstone from Mlada, head back to Grund to deliver it to Kona, and she will reward you for your efforts.

Should Thomlin get the Thunderstone in Kingdom Come 2?

Instead, consider approaching Thomlin at Horschan, which is a town west of Grund. Upon finding him, hand over the Thunderstone and he’ll be more than happy to receive it. He offers you either 150 Groschen or some Unarmed Experience Points (XP). In this game of Kingdom Come 2, the Unarmed XP might prove to be more beneficial as Groschen are relatively common, but your decision could depend on your current financial situation during the quest completion.

In the game Kingdom Come 2, if I’m choosing between Thomlin and Kona, I’d pick Kona every time for this quest. While Thomlin’s rewards aren’t exactly thrilling, he does dish out a bit more Groschen than Kona. However, here’s the catch – you can only choose either Groschen or Unarmed XP with Thomlin, not both. On the other hand, if you give Kona the Thunderstone, she offers several additional rewards. So, if these are your only two options, go for Kona. The extra loot is worth it, and Thomlin won’t bother following up with you afterwards.

Should you keep the Thunderstone in Kingdom Come 2?

You have the option to retain the Thunderstone. To do this, you can communicate with Kona or Thomlin and inform them of your desire to keep the Thunderstone. In possession of the Thunderstone, you will receive a buff that increases your stamina regeneration by 10%, boosts your stamina regeneration while blocking and attacking by 5%, and decreases your stamina consumption by 10%.

In essence, this buff is quite good and won’t steer you wrong, no matter your character’s chosen specialty – be it sword & shield, two-handed swords, heavy weapons, or marksmanship. You’ll find yourself using Stamina frequently in Kingdom Come 2, so conserving it throughout the game is a significant advantage. If you’re fine with displeasing Kona and Thomlin, holding onto the Thunderstone isn’t a poor choice, but remember to give it to Kona if you wish to claim a reward later, not Thomlin.
