Award-winning actress Tatiana Maslany has been cast as the main character for Apple TV+’s upcoming dark comedy-thriller series, “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.” This is her latest significant television role since her portrayal of the lead in Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series, which aired three years ago.
Currently, Tatiana Maslany can be seen sharing screen time with Theo James and Elijah Wood in Oz Perkins’ most recent horror film titled “The Monkey.” This movie is an adaptation of a short story from 1980 written by Stephen King, and has earned praise from critics since its release. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a Certified Fresh status with a Tomatometer rating of 78%. Additionally, Maslany will be featured in the upcoming Apple TV+ series, as well as Alex Kurtzman’s new Star Trek project titled “Starfleet Academy,” where she will act alongside Holly Hunter and Paul Giamatti.
What is Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed about?
A 30-minute show revolves around a recently divorced mother (Maslany) who gets entangled in a perilous world of extortion, homicide, and youth soccer, as suggested by the official synopsis.
The show “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” is being developed and overseen by David J. Rosen (known for Hunters), who will take on the role of showrunner. At present, Rosen is also working with Apple TV+ for the second season of their Colin Farrell-led mystery drama Sugar. Additionally, Halloween’s David Gordon Green has joined the project as both a director and executive producer. This upcoming comedic thriller will be executive produced by Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon through Genre Films, under their first-look deal with Apple TV+. The production companies for this show are Apple Studios and Counterpart Studios.
