Shameless

The family of Halyna Hutchins, a cinematographer who sadly passed away, have expressed their discontent towards Alec Baldwin’s new reality show titled “The Baldwins.” They are upset with how the actor has responded to the tragedy, feeling that he failed to offer an apology, and as a result, they have initiated legal proceedings in order to compel him to discuss the incident on the set of “Rust.” On Monday, they filed a notice of deposition, requiring Baldwin to address the real-life repercussions of his actions under oath.

They, along with his wife Hilaria, have launched a TV series chronicling their daily lives as parents to seven children. This program delves into the challenging circumstances they faced following an unfortunate incident at a film set in 2021. During that time, Alec accidentally discharged a firearm on the set, which led to the tragic death of Halyna Hutchins. The series presents them as a typical American family navigating difficult times following the movie set tragedy.

Nevertheless, Gloria Allred, the attorney for Hutchins’ family, finds Alec’s behavior “shameless.” She explains that while Alec spends time with his children on screen, Hutchins’ family endures the daily pain of her loss. They have yet to receive an apology or indication from him that he empathizes with their situation, a reality that Halyna’s parents and sister experience each day, according to Allred.

In the program, Hilaria discussed that following the incident, Alec experienced deep regret and was identified with PTSD, mentioning he even contemplated taking his own life. However, the attorney representing the Hutchins family offers a contrasting viewpoint, suggesting that Alec might be attempting to elicit sympathy, portraying himself as the victim in this situation.

Starting from February 23rd, the show has been on-air. However, there’s a possibility that Alec may need to appear in court for questioning under oath on May 9th due to certain circumstances. The family’s legal representative is urging him to truthfully recount what transpired on the day the gun was fired, and they have initiated a lawsuit to enforce this requirement.

Originally, during filming for “Rust”, Alec was brandishing a firearm towards Hutchins as part of the script. However, he asserted that the gun discharged unintentionally and resulted in her death. Alec maintains that he did not deliberately pull the trigger; instead, he claims it was an accident.
