As a long-time gamer and avid Sonic fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard about the upcoming Shadow the Hedgehog Lego set! Growing up with Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast, I fondly remember the first time I encountered this edgier alternative to our beloved blue blur. Now, I’ll have the chance to bring a piece of that nostalgia into my home with this unique and intriguing Lego set.
Sonic the Hedgehog supporters can look forward to welcoming Sonic’s rival, Shadow the Hedgehog, into their homes soon with an upcoming LEGO set. This unique set, available later in the year, enables fans to build Dr. Robotnik’s final weapon’s head using LEGO pieces.
When does the Shadow the Hedgehog Lego set release?
In an exclusive article on GameSpot published on Wednesday, Lego announced the upcoming Shadow the Hedgehog building set. This 720-piece set will be available from October 1 for $70. The set includes a stand with Shadow’s head attached, a small plaque, three gold rings, and a Chaos Emerald hidden inside Shadow’s head.
Although it may seem unusual, the Shadow the Hedgehog collectible set leaves a lasting impression and allows fans to imagine themselves as Dr. Robotnik during assembly. Alternatively, they could assume the role of Sonic, having grown tired of Shadow’s antics and deciding to take drastic action.
I’m a huge fan of Shadow the Hedgehog, and my favorite portrayal of him comes from his initial appearance in Sonic Adventure 2 for the Sega Dreamcast back in 2001. In the upcoming season, Shadow will team up with Sonic in Sonic X Shadow Generations – a blend of remastered Sonic Generations and fresh content dedicated to Shadow. You’ll also see him in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie. The game drops on October 25, just a few weeks before the Shadow the Hedgegog Lego set hits the shelves. Meanwhile, the film is set to premiere in theaters on December 20.
On October 1st, it’s not just Sega’s most edgy Erinaceinae creature that has something exciting in store – there are also four new Lego Fortnite sets hitting the shelves. Ranging from a reasonable $15 to a slightly more substantial $100 investment, these sets offer a variety of options for fans.
