Seth Rogen & Rose Byrne Are Still Chaotic Best Friends in Platonic Season 2 Trailer

Apple TV+ has unveiled the official trailer for the second season of the popular comedy series “Platonic,” starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne from “Neighbors.” The new episodes will start streaming on August 6, with the first two episodes releasing at once. Following this, a new episode will be released each week until October 1, 2025.

In season two, we find our beloved pair of buddies (Rogen and Byrne) facing fresh challenges as they navigate midlife obstacles such as work, weddings, and partner emergencies. They strive to support each other through it all, but even the strongest bonds can crack under pressure.

The video offers a sneak peek into the evolving bond between Will and Sylvia, as they navigate their way through adulthood while keeping their friendship alive. It also showcases some of the amusing incidents involving this unruly pair from the upcoming season, such as Will inadvertently hitting his new girlfriend’s father with a golf ball. The ensemble includes Luke Macfarlane (Bros), Tre Hale, and Carla Gallo (Neighborsfilms), along with Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, and Beck Bennett who are joining the cast for Season 2.

In the realm of creative direction, Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco are at the helm for the project titled “Platonic.” Not only will they be steering the ship as directors, but they’ve also handpicked Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne to lead the cast. Furthermore, these two talented individuals have been designated as executive producers as well. This production hails from Sony Pictures Television. It’s worth noting that Stoller Global Solutions, Nick Stoller’s production company, has an overarching deal with them. Prior to Platonic, Rose Byrne graced the screens of another Apple TV+ series, Physical, which spanned three seasons between 2021 and 2023. Meanwhile, Seth Rogen is currently leading his own Apple TV+ show titled The Studio, which has garnered a whopping 23 Emmy nominations.
