In the closing moments of episode 8 from Serendipity’s Embrace, viewers witness Kim So-Hyun’s character, Lee Hong-Ju, tirelessly pursuing her ambition within the animation film world. She dedicates every waking hour to a crucial assignment. Simultaneously, it’s the holiday season, and Kang Hu-Young (Chae Jong-Hyeop) must depart for the United States prior to Christmas Eve.

On a particular evening, Kim Hye-Ji (known also as Kim Da-Som), her new beau Son Kyung-Taek (Hwang Sung-Bin), Kwon Sang-Pil (Lee Won-Jung), and Kang Hu-Young convened at the uncle’s residence for some quality time before Hu-Young departed. Unfortunately, Lee Hong-Ju was unable to attend this gathering due to her demanding work commitments on a project. This unfortunate turn of events left Hu-Young feeling distraught as he was set to depart for the United States the following morning. To add insult to injury, Hong-Ju did not even show up to bid him farewell at the airport.

In the final scene of “Serendipity’s Embrace,” the viewers find Kang Hu-Young sitting solitarily at an airport. Just then, Lee Hong-Ju emerges, carrying a suitcase. It transpires that she had accumulated time off from work to join Hu-Young in America. She hadn’t informed her friends about this secret plan because she wanted to astonish Hu-Young. Upon seeing her, Kang Hu-Young experiences great joy. He subsequently shares an intense kiss with Hong-Ju at the airport before they both proceed towards their flight.

Despite some hurdles due to Hong-Ju’s lack of a visa, it appears that their story concludes contentedly. The series beautifully wraps up on an immensely fulfilling note by offering glimpses into their past when they were in high school, emphasizing that they are meant for each other.
