In the finale of the Netflix series “Eve,” Seo Yea Ji’s character, Lee La El, seeks retribution against politician Han Pan Ro for his role in the death of her father, Lee Tae Joon, who was the CEO of GEDIKS. Her intricately plotted revenge scheme involves not only Han Pan Ro but also his daughter Han So Ra, Kang Yoon Gyeom from LY group, and Kim Jong Chul, Han Pan Ro’s trusted confidant. In the heat of the game, I uncover a shocking revelation about Lee La El’s true identity. Suddenly, she initiates a murder investigation implicating me, So Ra, and others. The LY chairman surprisingly refrains from misusing his power to manipulate the outcome of the case. Instead, he relinquishes his position as chairman and assumes full responsibility for his past mistakes.
In another place, Lee La El acknowledges that she held strong beliefs in the twin flame concept after initiating a relationship with Kang. Their connection held hidden intentions. Yet, she found herself genuinely developing feelings for the chairman, causing concern for his wellbeing.
Eve Finale: Does it have a happy ending?
In the opening of Eve’s last episode 16, La El awakens at Kang’s holiday home with the chairman by her side. She is alarmed following a distressing dream where Kang perishes. This moment holds importance as it demonstrates the authenticity of La El’s feelings for Kang and raises the possibility that she might opt for him over her dear friend Seo Eun Pyung, who had assisted her in the plot for revenge.
At the vacation home, Kim Jeong Chul assaults La El, but Kang intervenes and unfortunately causes Kim’s death. In an attempt to shield himself, Kang explains this as self-defense to Seo Eun Pyung, who helps him avoid police involvement. Meanwhile, So Ra seizes the opportunity and abducts La El.
In a desperate attempt to rescue La El, Kang acts swiftly and takes an extreme measure. He causes their car to go over a cliff with himself and So Ra inside. Sadly, Kang loses his life in the accident, but miraculously, So Ra manages to survive. Later on, Kang’s family makes a shocking discovery: Kang had transferred all of his company shares to La El before his death.
Following the accident, So Ra becomes disconnected from the world around her. A visit from La El serves as a harsh reminder that it was So Ra who took Kang’s life. Meanwhile, at the trial, an ex-employee of the former prime minister testifies about their wrongdoings, providing crucial evidence for Ra El Lee’s defense.
Using simple and clear language: With the stocks belonging to Kang, La El began making amends to the victims and transformed LY Company into a charitable organization, aimed at assisting those harmed by corporate misdeeds. Once the court case concludes, she journeys to Buenos Aires for her initial encounter with Kang. Seo Eun Pyung chooses to accompany her.
In the finale of the K-drama, it’s debatable what La El chooses: some spectators assume she’ll continue living with Kang’s memory. Yet others argue that due to her emphasis on genuine love and personal liberty in her final monologue, she could potentially end up with Seo Eun Pyung instead.
La El’s plan for revenge brings about success but comes at a great price – the loss of her twin flame, Kang, who unintentionally played a role in her father’s brutal assassination.
