As a hardcore gamer and Formula 1 racing fan, I couldn’t be more excited about Netflix’s announcement of the release date for their highly anticipated limited series “Senna.” The anticipation has been building up since the confirmation of its release in the second half of 2024. July 18 marked a significant day for us fans as Netflix officially announced that the series will start streaming on November 29, the day after Thanksgiving.
Netflix has formally declared that the Formula 1 limited series “Senna” will be available on their platform starting November 29, 2024. This announcement was made on July 18, placing it after Thanksgiving day. This significant release date indicates a strong belief in the potential success of the series by Netflix.
As a longtime fan of binge-worthy TV shows, I can’t help but feel excited about the recent shift in release dates for some highly anticipated series. I was initially looking forward to watching “Cobra Kai” season 6 part 2 over Thanksgiving weekend, as it had been scheduled for a Nov. 28 release. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I heard that the new limited series has taken its place and will now debut on Nov. 15 instead.
It’s intriguing to note that the recent release dates of “Cobra Kai” and “Senna” suggest a possible shift in Netflix’s release schedule towards Fridays. Previously, Netflix had been releasing its original series primarily on Thursdays, with occasional exceptions being made for Wednesdays. It seems that the Thursday approach may have run its course, making these two shows the first to debut on Fridays this autumn.
I’m deeply in awe of SENNA, the legendary Formula 1 driver whose career revolutionized the sport. His influence continues to resonate and inspire the world. Don’t miss his story when it premieres on November 29.

With the announcement of its release date, Netflix revealed the striking poster for “Senna.” In the image, actor Gabriel Leone takes center stage, striding forward on the racetrack as the sun sets behind him. Clad in Ayrton Senna’s trademark green and yellow racing gear and holding his iconic helmet, Leone embodies the legendary driver. Surrounding Senna, ghostly images of racing cars whizz by at breakneck speed, creating an unnerving feeling that the world is rushing past him.
A six-episode limited series produced by Netflix tells the story of Ayrton Senna’s career and personal life, as portrayed in a scripted format for the first time. The series, which includes some fictional elements, stars Leone as the Brazilian racing champion who died at the age of 34 after a tragic accident during a race in 1994.
If you’re looking for a lighter option after being inspired by the limited series, the sixth and final season of “Cobra Kai” drops its second part two weeks prior to Thanksgiving weekend. Netflix is still working on finalizing their autumn lineup, which promises an abundance of original series and films throughout October, November, and even into December. It’s safe to assume that “Senna” will be among the most-watched new releases this fall!
Watch Senna only on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 29.
