Seiko recently introduced the Presage Classic Unglazed Arita Porcelain Limited Edition, a watch that beautifully combines the artistic skills of Japanese porcelain crafting with Seiko’s expertise in watchmaking. This exclusive timepiece is only available to 1,200 lucky collectors worldwide and celebrates the historical significance of Arita porcelain, which was discovered in the Japanese town of Arita over four centuries ago. Over the years, the region has built a reputation for its exceptional workmanship, inspiring countless generations of artisans.

Approximately 40.1 millimeters in size, the case is skillfully made from stainless steel and given a tough, wear-resistant coating for increased longevity. The dial, with its soft white hue, stands out prominently, produced from unglazed porcelain fired at high temperatures, emulating the unique shade typical of Japanese Arita porcelain. The dial showcases a sophisticated and textured matte finish that enhances the three-dimensional, diamond-cut design grooves. These grooves gently and subtly catch light, lending an understated allure to the watch face.

The innovative watch runs on its own internally developed 6R51 automatic mechanism, guaranteeing dependable operation. This mechanism delivers precision within a range of -15 seconds to +25 seconds daily and boasts an impressive 72-hour power reserve. Crafted for both male and female wearers, this versatile timepiece comes with a sleek black glossy leather band sourced in an eco-friendly manner and certified by the Leather Working Group, showcasing dedication to ecological stewardship.

The limited edition Presage Classic Unglazed Arita Porcelain, priced at approximately $2,236 USD, can be pre-ordered on Seiko’s UK online store and is scheduled to be officially released in July.
