As a result, she received a life sentence without the chance of parole for the murder charge, along with an extra five years for the theft conviction.

On May 14, 2018, an inquiry started regarding the disappearance of Joleen Cummings. A solitary parent to three kids, Cummings had not shown up to collect her children from her separated spouse the day prior.
