Sebastian Stan‘s stardom continues to grow as he tackles a broader range of characters, recently earning his first Golden Globe for his role in “A Different Man“. Yet, Stan has been a beloved part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since his introduction in “Captain America: The First Avenger“, and this summer, fans can look forward to seeing him reprise his role as Bucky Barnes in “Thunderbolts*“.
During an interview with Deadline, he was questioned about his role in the forthcoming Marvel movie that brings together a number of supporting characters from different series. In response, the actor stated that this new production would stand independently as “a unique entity” on its own.
This Marvel movie is unlike any other I’ve seen before, largely due to the unique ensemble of characters and talented actors such as David Harbour, Florence Pugh, Wyatt Russell, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Their chemistry shines through in the film, making it an unforgettable experience for me. It has a similar feel to ‘The Breakfast Club’, with its authentic humor, raw emotions, and real stunts. Marvel went out of their way to make this movie stand out, using practical effects rather than CGI for many scenes. I believe that approach adds depth and credibility to the film, as audiences are smart enough to appreciate the difference.
Thunderbolts* will be released on May 2nd, 2025.
