In a recent press event, actor Sebastian Stan disclosed that he’s now bald, sparking conversations online. Interestingly, this is quite different from how we’ll see him in the upcoming Thunderbolts movie, where his character, Bucky Barnes (also known as the Winter Soldier), sports long, wavy tresses.

In response to Stan’s new appearance on a Reddit thread, a user humorously likened him to Bryan Cranston’s famous character from Breaking Bad, saying, “Stan looks like the young version of Walter White in a Breaking Bad spin-off.
A third fan provided additional details about the speculation that Stan might go bald for a role. They explained, “For a film titled Fjord, which he was shooting in Norway. This is why he missed the Europe Premiere and why he wore the Peaky Blinders hat during some of his pre-recorded promotional clips.
Although we’re not sure why Stan is bald, it might be connected to his work with Fjord, which started its shooting in Norway in March, according to Cineuropa.
Under the direction of Cristian Mungiu, the upcoming movie, titled “Fjord,” centers around two families residing on a remote Norwegian island. Like Mungiu’s past works, Fjord is anticipated to delve into topics such as cultural disparities, morality, and familial ties. In the lead role, we find Stan, with Renate Reinsve by his side.
Meanwhile, Thunderbolts* hits theaters on May 2, 2025.
