Following some intense discussions, we’ve finally got the news. For quite a few months now, there have been whispers about the Scrubs revival, and it’s confirmed – one familiar face will be back.
The Cult Series Is Getting A Reboot
Almost everyone is familiar with the popular TV show “Scrubs”. Produced by Bill Lawrence, it’s become a smash hit, known for its witty dialogue and an endless supply of memorable scenes that have become internet sensations. The narrative itself was also captivating.
John “JD” Dorian and his companions Turk and Carla, along with the tumultuous relationship between JD and Elliot, all under Dr. Cox’s watchful gaze, has left viewers yearning for a fulfilling series finale. Unfortunately, the last season didn’t resonate well with fans – it was an unsatisfactory ending at best. Rumors suggest that we might be getting a reboot soon to rectify past mistakes and provide closure that has been eluding us for years.
Zach Braff Is Returning As JD
After much discussion and bargaining, it’s officially confirmed that Zach Braff has agreed to reprise his role as JD in the upcoming reboot. The disagreements primarily revolved around compensation and filming location, with Los Angeles being chosen instead of Vancouver. It was reportedly so close to falling apart that the entire project seemed on the verge of cancellation.
Season 9(+1)?
Most viewers consider the episode “My Finale” an apt culmination of the series, stirring even the toughest hearts to tears. However, for many, Season 9 seemed disconnected from Scrubs, leaving a bitter taste. The original characters appear sporadically and seem devoid of life, possibly because they bid us goodbye at the end of Season 8. Consequently, most fans view Season 9 as more of a spin-off, rather than a genuine continuation of the series.
Clearly, there’s a lot of debate surrounding the reboot, leading one to ponder if every film and TV show truly needs a revival, or if they might be better off untouched.
