Actor Scott Foley (known for his roles in Felicity and Scandal) has confirmed his upcoming appearance in the Paramount Pictures’ film Scream 7. In this new installment, Foley will once again embody the character of Roman Bridger, who made his debut in Scream 3 as the director for Stab 3. At the conclusion of the third movie, it was revealed that Roman had been disguised as Ghostface, planning to accuse and murder Sidney, a plot intended to deceive and ultimately kill her.
What did Scott Foley say about his Scream 7 return?
In a recent conversation on Good Morning America, Foley openly shared that he too is unsure of the fate of his character in Scream 7, as he remains puzzled about why Roman would reappear since he was supposedly dead at the end of Scream 3.
Foley expressed his curiosity, saying, “I’d appreciate if someone could enlighten me as I’m unfamiliar with the process. As a side note, you may recall that my character from 25 years ago was the killer in Scream 3, who met a gruesome end. Now, I find myself reprising this role in Scream 7, and I’m unsure of how it will unfold.
In the upcoming movie Scream 7, longtime franchise actors Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox will once again take on their beloved characters Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers. Much like Foley, David Arquette and Matthew Lillard are making a comeback as Dewey Riley and Stu Macher, even though their characters met their ends in Scream from 2022 and Scream from 1996 respectively. Furthermore, it’s been officially announced that Jasmin Savoy Brown, who plays Mindy Meeks-Martin, and Mason Gooding, as Chad Meeks-Martin, will also be part of the next installment.
In this new venture, actresses Isabel May (from 1883), Celeste O’Connor (known for Madame Web), Asa Germann (hailing from The Boys: Gen V), and Mckenna Grace (starring in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) have signed on, along with Joel McHale (famous for Community), Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect fame), Mark Consuelos (Riverdale star), Ethan Embry (Grace & Frankie cast member), Sam Rechner (The Fabelmans actor), Michelle Randolph (Landman actress), and Jimmy Tatro (Theater Camp’s star). This seventh edition is being overseen by franchise creator Kevin Williamson, who is also penning the screenplay. The project is being produced by Paul Neinstein, William Sherak, and James Vanderbilt.
