Scream 7 Cast Brings Back Another Dead Character

In the continuation of the cast for “Scream 7“, it has been announced that David Arquette will once again take on the character of Deputy Dewey Riley, reviving a role from earlier films in the upcoming release.

Arquette’s on-screen persona is cherished by Scream enthusiasts, having made her debut in the original 1996 movie. The character of Dewey initially emerged as the older sibling of Tatum Riley (played by Rose McGowan), and was portrayed as a somewhat bumbling police deputy, working diligently to aid in the resolution of the murders occurring in Woodsboro.

In the Scream series of movies, Dewey developed into a regular character, eventually marrying Gale Weathers, played by Courteney Cox. In the latest Scream film from 2022, Dewey’s character, portrayed by David Arquette, was killed by Ghostface. It remains uncertain how Dewey might reappear in the upcoming Scream movie.

What do we know about Scream 7’s cast?

Currently, details about the forthcoming movie remain secret, but it’s expected to feature some familiar faces from previous films. Among these returning stars is Neve Campbell. Additionally, Scream 7 will welcome back Courteney Cox, who will once again play her iconic character Gale Weathers within the franchise.

In addition to it, Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley, who played characters that met their end in earlier Scream films, are also rumored to be joining the cast. Furthermore, Mason Gooding is coming back for another round in the franchise as Chad Meeks-Martin, while Jasmine Savoy Brown will revisit her character Mindy Meeks-Martin.

1883’s Isabela May has been added to the cast, taking on the role of Sidney Prescott’s daughter. McKenna Grace, Asa Germann, Sam Rechner, Celeste O’Connor, and Anna Camp have likewise joined the film as cast members. Joel McHale is expected to star in the movie as Sidney Prescott’s husband, Mark Evans. Additionally, Mark Consuelos will also appear in the film in some capacity.
