Scream 7 Cast Adds Returning Actor Who Died in Scream 3

Scott Foley has joined the cast of Scream 7.

I’m thrilled to share that I, as a die-hard fan, am excitedly announcing that Kevin Williamson will be directing the upcoming seventh installment in the Scream series! The iconic Sidney Prescott, portrayed by Neve Campbell, is making her comeback, and our beloved Gale Weathers, played by Courteney Cox, is also set to return. Can’t wait for this spine-tingling reunion!

Per Deadline, Foley has now joined the cast of the movie.

In the year 2000, Foley portrayed the role of Roman Bridger in Wes Craven’s Scream 3. In this movie, Roman was revealed to be Sidney’s half-brother and the real Ghostface killer. However, he was ultimately killed by Dewey, played by David Arquette, leaving some uncertainty about whether Foley will reprise his role as Roman in Scream 7 or if he has been cast for a completely new character.

According to an article in Deadline, there’s a possibility that Roman might have pretended to die before and could do so again, either in the current storyline or as a flashback. If he has indeed passed away, it wouldn’t be surprising for him to reappear in a ghostly or zombified form given the nature of Scream. Could there be a long-lost twin of Roman? That’s a question worth asking since Scream is known for its unexpected twists.

There’s a chance that if Foley reprises his role as Roman, the character might appear exclusively in flashback scenes.

In addition to his movie credits like Stealing Time (2001), Below (2002), and Naked (2017), Foley’s filmography spans a variety of titles. Furthermore, he has graced several TV series such as Dawson’s Creek, Felicity, Scrubs, The Unit, Grey’s Anatomy, True Blood, Scandal, Whiskey Cavalier, The Big Leap, and The Girls on the Bus.

What else do we know about Scream 7?

Joining Foley, Campbell, and Weathers in Scream 7 are actors Mason Gooding (reprising his role as Chad Meeks-Martin) and Jasmin Savoy Brown (returning as Mindy Meeks-Martin). Additionally, the cast includes Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, and Mark Consuelos.

The screenplay for the seventh Scream film was penned by Guy Busick. James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein serve as producers on this movie.
