As a seasoned gamer and horror movie enthusiast with a keen eye for spotting rising talents, I must say, Celeste O’Connor‘s addition to the Scream 7 cast is a masterstroke! With their impressive performance in Ghostbusters: Afterlife and its sequel, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, it’s clear that they have the chops to handle the intense horror scenes and nail the drama.
Actress Celeste O’Connor, known for her role in Madame Web, has been chosen to be part of the Scream 7 cast. She will appear in the upcoming episode of Paramount Pictures’ famous slasher series, but specifics about her character are currently being concealed.
In a familiar realm of horror, O’Connor has made their mark, having appeared in last year’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife and its subsequent sequel Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, where they portrayed Lucky. Apart from the upcoming Scream 7, they are also set to star in the upcoming sci-fi film UAP, with The Kissing Booth’s Joel Courtney directing.
Who will lead the Scream 7 cast?
The upcoming film Scream 7 will see the comeback of beloved characters Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers, portrayed by Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox respectively. Previously, actor Patrick Dempsey from Grey’s Anatomy hinted at a possible return to his role as Mark Kincaid, Sidney’s love interest from Scream 3. Furthermore, one of the original Ghostface performers, Matthew Lillard, has expressed his desire to reprise his character Stu, despite Stu seemingly meeting his end in the first movie.
Apart from O’Connor, Isabela May (from 1883) has also joined the production. As of now, it remains undecided whether characters from the previous two sequels such as Jasmin Savoy Brown’s Mindy Meeks-Martin, Mason Gooding’s Chad Meeks-Martin, and others will appear following Melissa Barrera’s departure. The upcoming seventh installment is being directed by Kevin Williamson, who created the franchise, from a script penned by Guy Busick. Paul Neinstein, William Sherak, and James Vanderbilt are producing this project.
