Apart from announcing that Isabel May has been cast, they also disclosed that Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera won’t be returning to play their characters in “Scream 7”. Both actresses first appeared in the series with “Scream” released in 2022, and continued their roles in “Scream VI” from 2023.
As a gamer, I’ve got some news about Scream 7 – Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott) and Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) will be back, but Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter) and Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter) won’t be around. As for Barrera, she was let go from the franchise in 2023 after some controversial remarks she made about the Israel-Hamas conflict.
