In a recent conversation with ComingSoon, Speedman shared insights about his part in The Strangers, where he acted alongside Liv Tyler. As the initial movie is now being reimagined as a new trilogy, Speedman attributed its impact to Bryan Bertino’s exceptional screenwriting and direction.

In essence, Speedman believes the film is by Bryan Bertino, its writer and director. Reading the script, he found it to be both shockingly simple and terrifying. The script had an atmosphere that made him feel if even a fraction of it could be translated onto the screen, it would resonate with audiences. Many horror movies fail to achieve this, but this one did. We also had Liv Tyler in our cast, along with Bryan and myself. It was just a fantastic team, and we were fortunate that Bryan managed to bring his vision to life on screen. This doesn’t always occur, but yes, this film is undoubtedly unique and exceptional.

Speaking about Felicity, Speedman mentioned that he recently watched the series for the first time since its debut in 1998. Once more, he praised the creators, J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves, for keeping the show looking fresh even now.

I recently watched the series again for the first time since I saw the pilot in 1998, and I was astonished by how impressive the episodes were. I did a podcast, which led me to watch three episodes, and I must say, they were stunningly beautiful. The cinematography, casting, and overall production quality were exceptional, given that it was J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves’ first TV show. Their dedication to the show was evident, and I found myself in awe of its richness – it was filmed, giving it a depth that is hard to find elsewhere. The writing for Keri, Scott, and everyone else was outstanding, making this series truly special.
