Scarlett Johansson says she has cockroach phobia
Scarlett Johansson recently shared details about her fear of cockroaches when talking about her part in the upcoming movie Jurassic World: Dominion. In a conversation with TODAY.com, she disclosed that filming on set introduced her to these terrifying creatures.
Johansson confessed that she wasn’t troubled by heights, not even while climbing a vertical movie set. However, dealing with insects presented a whole new challenge for her. She stated, “Heights aren’t my worst fear, but cockroaches definitely are, and there were lots of those too – thankfully not on the abseiling wall.” She described Thailand as a place where one might encounter some rather formidable creatures.
The actress also brought attention to an unexpected incident where she discovered a scorpion close to the coffee station. She said, “Imagine preparing coffee at the table and then someone tells you, ‘Guess what they found at the table? They just got a scorpion.’ It’s like, ‘What!?’ I was about to brew myself a cup right there.
Regardless of the jungle bugs, Johansson deemed her role in Jurassic World Rebirth a long-cherished dream realized. She revealed that joining the legendary dinosaur franchise had been an ambition since her youth. “Being in this movie was a dream I’ve had since childhood,” Johansson stated, reminiscing about seeing the original Jurassic Park at age 10 and being immediately enthralled. She went on to explain, “Just like everyone else who watched it, I was completely spellbound, captivated, enchanted, even scared, all those feelings, and it’s a significant part of my childhood memories.
In Jurassic World: Reborn, Johansson portrays Zora Bennett, a mercenary who commands a squad of experts on an urgent operation to seize dinosaur genetics from a taboo island. The cinematography for the film was done in captivating locales around the world, including Malta and Thailand.
