Satisfactory goes Version 1.0 after 5 years in early access

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when I see a game like Satisfactory finally graduating from Early Access after five long years. It feels like we’ve been growing up together, this industrial sci-fi sim and me. The day it was first announced in 2016, I remember thinking, “What a quirky little indie title!” But now, here we are, with Version 1.0 out in the wild.

For nearly five years now, Satisfactory has been the cherished project of Coffee Stain Studios, maturing and expanding as a cooperative sci-fi industrial simulation since its debut in early access in 2020. And now, it’s finally time for this well-nurtured creation to embark on new ventures in the realm of industrial development. Indeed, Coffee Stain Studios has launched the major Version 1.0 update for Satisfactory. This significant release not only includes essential “Day 1” features but also serves as an announcement that console adaptations of Satisfactory are currently underway.

Coffee Stain Studios recently shared details about the launch of Satisfactory Version 1.0 on PC, along with a new trailer on their YouTube channel. Although we were already aware that Version 1.0 was coming, the announcement of the release date and additional features has generated excitement. The latest update offers numerous updates to the game, and there’s even a hint at a possible console version in development. With Satisfactory now available on PC, Coffee Stain is gearing up to bring this experience to consoles in the near future, with further details to be revealed soon.

In Version 1.0, we’ve finally completed Project Assembly after a long wait. Now, players can activate the final stages of the project and reap its benefits. This version also introduces a new alien technology called the Dimensional Depot, which functions like a Cloud Network, enabling you to collect resources from any connected location within your network and effortlessly transport them between building sites and facilities. Additionally, there are numerous customization options available for characters in Version 1.0, allowing players to personalize their uniform with new suits, gloves, helmets, Build Guns, and creative trinkets.

For quite some time now, Satisfactory has been in an early access phase, and we’ve kept a close eye on its progress since it graced our screens during a ShackStream session early on. Now that version 1.0 is out, the horizon looks promising for Coffee Stain Studios. Keep an ear open for further updates about Satisfactory, including console release details, right here on Shacknews!
