Sarah Michelle Gellar has recently commented on the latest news about the character details for the upcoming “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” reboot on Hulu. Currently, she’s the only known cast member set to return in this revival.
According to the famous supernatural drama series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, Nora Zuckerman and Lila Zuckman are set to take charge as both writers and directors for its revival, also acting as showrunners. In addition, renowned filmmaker Chloé Zhao has joined as a director and executive producer. Alongside Buffy herself, Sarah Gellar, Gail Berman, Fran Kuzui, Kaz Kuzi, and Dolly Parton are also involved in the production. The collaboration is between 20th Television and Searchlight Television.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer star clarifies rumors about reboot’s main character
In a recent chat, Gellar dispelled the three character spoilers that had been circulating since March, which included the speculated Willow-like protagonist known as Nova.
“Those are all fake characters,” Gellar clarified. “That thing that got released is all fake.”
Furthermore, Gellar shared details about Zhao’s compelling proposal, verifying that she had collaborated extensively with the creative crew for almost four years to ensure the project was perfectly executed.
Gellar recounted that every suggestion she received seemed to be about reprising Buffy. However, when Zhao presented her vision for the show and the character, along with why Buffy is relevant now, it was the first time I felt, “Ah, there’s a purpose behind this.
