This year, Anil Ravipudi’s action-comedy-adventure movie titled “Sankranthiki Vasthunam” has been a standout among Telugu films. Starring Venkatesh Daggubati as the main character, it premiered in cinemas on January 14th, coinciding with Sankranti.

In this film, Sankranthiki Vasthunam boasts a diverse cast featuring Meenakshi Chaudhary, Aishwarya Rajesh, VTV Ganesh, P Sai Kumar, Naresh, Srinivasa Reddy, and others in addition to the star known as Saindhav.
The movie is a blend of action, comedy, and adventure featuring Venkatesh Daggubati as Damodara Raju, a former police officer. He encounters his ex-lover Meenakshi (Meenakshi Chaudhary), who’s now an Assistant Commissioner of Police, seeking assistance with a kidnapping case. It transpires that the CEO of a global conglomerate, Satya Akella, has been abducted.
At the behest of the state’s Chief Minister, Damodara Raju embarks on a mission to assist Meenakshi in locating Satya Akella. However, an unexpected twist unfolds as his wife, Bhagyalakshmi, expresses her concern and decides to accompany them both on their journey, apprehensive that her husband might reignite old feelings with his ex. What ensues is a chain of amusing and thrilling incidents that are guaranteed to make you chuckle.
Previously noted, the movie titled Sankrathiki Vasthunam was both written and directed by Anil Ravipudi. This production is financed by Dil Raju under the label Sri Venkateswara Creations. The cinematography and editing of the film are handled by Sameer Reddy and Tammiraju respectively. The music for this film was composed by Bheems Ciceroleo.
Following the movie’s triumph, director Anil Ravipudi announced that a follow-up film named “Malli Sankranthiki Vasthunam” is planned for release in January 2027, coinciding with the festive occasion of Sankranthi.
