Sam Heughan warns fans the Outlander series finale may not meet all expectations

As a die-hard Outlander fan who has been following this enchanting series since its inception, I must admit that the anticipation for the final season is both exhilarating and nerve-wracking. The recent remarks by Sam Heughan about the series finale not ending in the way we all want it to have me worried, to say the least.

It’s common knowledge that not all series finales meet our hopes. There’s some apprehension surrounding the conclusion of the Outlander series.

Sam Heughan discussed with The Herald the approaching finale of our cherished series. One point he emphasized was that the series might not conclude as everyone hopes it would. Not all questions will be resolved, and it seems he’s hinting that questions regarding the ghost may not surface during the final season but could instead be answered in a subsequent book.

As a dedicated Outlander fan, I feel compelled to share some insights from Sam Heughan himself. He’s hinted that the series finale might not meet our lofty expectations in the way we’d hope. So, fellow gamers, let’s brace ourselves for an epic ending, but with a touch of realism in mind.

We will have to end it some way. Perhaps not a way that the books end it. I am pushing for a different ending.

The Outlander series finale will still be satisfactory

Although it’s not implied that the final episode will have poor writing, it won’t follow the same conclusion as the original book series. Contrary to Diana Gabaldon’s initial statement that the TV show wouldn’t conclude before the books did, like “Game of Thrones”, it appears she couldn’t keep her promise. The TV series is wrapping up after eight seasons, even though there are ten books in total.

1. The finale of the TV show won’t conclude the storyline from “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone.” Given the leaked photos, it seems that the ninth book’s cliffhanger ending won’t serve as the series finale. Instead, the final season appears to be intended to resolve any lingering questions or plot threads left by the novel.

Primarily, spectators yearn for a resolution. Moreover, they seek tranquility as the finale for Claire and Jamie. Regardless of life’s inevitability, no one wishes for the Frasers to meet their end. Instead, we hope for a peaceful and joyful conclusion for everyone involved.

Outlander Season 7B premieres on Starz on Friday, Nov. 22.
