As a long-time admirer of Malayalam cinema, I must say that the recent news about Mohanlal potentially joining the Salaar universe is nothing short of exhilarating! Having followed his illustrious career since my formative years, I’ve witnessed him grace the silver screen in a multitude of roles that have left an indelible mark on the hearts of millions.
For some time now, Mohanlal has been drawing attention due to his resignation as AMMA President, and excitement over his upcoming movie Bazooka among fans hasn’t faded. Most recently, there are whispers that the actor could be joining the world of Salaar, a film by Prashanth Neel where Prabhas stars.
As per Track Tollywood’s report, the producers of Salaar Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam are considering Mohanlal for an important character in the movie starring Prabhas. This upcoming project is a continuation of the 2023 film, Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire.
Although there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, it seems that Mohanlal might be returning to Tollywood (Telugu cinema) following a hiatus since the movie “Janatha Garage”.
It seems there’s more news on the subject. Word has it that Anirudh Ravichander is set to take over from Ravi Basrur, responsible for the film’s soundtrack composition. At present, the project is being prepared for production.
Regarding the movie’s actors, aside from Prabhas, there are stars like Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy, Jagapathi Babu, and others. The release date is planned for some time in 2025.
Recently, Mohanlal found himself at the center of multiple news articles, as a result of his decision to resign from his role as AMMA’s president, in light of the findings presented by the Hema Committee.
Furthermore, considering the current situation, as suggested by the report’s findings, the actor has expressed a willingness to collaborate in the process of addressing the mistakes at hand.
Given Mohanlal’s well-known status as an actor, there are constant rumors about his upcoming projects floating around online. For example, a previous report hinted at him teaming up with his good friend and fellow prominent actor, Mammootty, for a new joint production.
It’s rumored that film production companies Aashirvad Cinemas and Mammootty Kampany are collaborating to create a major blockbuster movie. Although specifics about the project remain undisclosed, there is speculation that Mohanlal will be taking on an important character in this upcoming venture.
