1. Amaran
We’ll kick off our list with Sai Pallavi working alongside director Rajkumar Periasamy on a project titled Amaran. This upcoming film is a biographical action war movie that will be co-produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. The release date for Amaran has been set for October 31, 2024.
In addition to the actress, Amaran also stars Sivakarthikeyan as the character Major Mukund Varadarajan. Notably, this film is an adaption from the book series “India’s Most Fearless,” penned by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, which tells the true story of Mukund Varadarajan’s life and valor.
During a chat in February 2024, director Rajkumar Periasamy mentioned Amaran and Sai Pallavi. He shared that she is always drawn to characters, and after reviewing the plot summary and script, she expressed enthusiasm and requested a meeting. At our meeting, she had some questions which I addressed. Her character in the movie has several demanding aspects.
In addition to the main duo, Amaran’s cast includes Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Hanun Bawra, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, Gaurav Venkatesh, and Shreekumar in significant roles. Notably, it has been confirmed that the streaming rights for this film have been acquired by the massive platform, Netflix.
2. Thandel
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that my next cinematic endeavor is the highly anticipated project titled Thandel, alongside the talented actor Naga Chaitanya. Notably, this collaboration marks our second time working together since our 2021 film Love Story with director Sekhar Kammula. I can’t wait to bring this story to life for you all!
Besides this, Thandel marks the third collaboration between Chay and filmmaker Chandoo, following Premam and Savyasachi. In terms of its storyline, Thandel is an action-drama centered around a fisherman from Srikakulam who is captured by Pakistan forces in international waters. Actress Sai Pallavi portrays Satya, a fellow fisherwoman, in the film. The release date for Thandel in theaters is tentatively set for 2025.
According to an article on Republic World, actress Sai Pallavi is set to play a character from the Srikakulam region. Her role in the movie with Naga Chaitanya in the lead will embody the spirit of a village girl. The report indicates that Sai Pallavi’s character, Satya, will be unique due to a mix of rebelliousness and adherence to social ideals. Additionally, she will speak in the dialect native to Srikakulam, enhancing the authenticity of her portrayal.
In a forthcoming production, Geetha Arts, under Allu Aravind’s guidance, and Bunny Vasu are taking on the role of producers. The music for this movie will be created by Devi Sri Prasad, while the visuals will be captured by Shamdat.
3. Ramayana
Last, but certainly not least, is the upcoming movie of Sai Pallavi alongside Bollywood’s beloved star, Ranbir Kapoor, titled Ramayana. This highly anticipated film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has been creating a buzz in Indian Cinema since the producers managed to gather an exceptional ensemble cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Sai Pallavi to portray the victory of good over evil.
In the upcoming movie, the character of Lord Rama will be portrayed by Animal actor, while Sai Pallavi will enact the role of Sita opposite him. Earlier this year, some photographs from the film set sparked a buzz on social media. Lately, a fan page posted some details about the Ramayana sets, stating that the actress appeared “radiant and captivating” in her portrayal of Sita.
It’s worth noting that Sai Pallavi’s recent appearance was in the 2022 film titled “Gargi”. This Tamil legal drama was masterminded by Gautham Ramachandran and produced by Blacky, Genie & My Left Foot Productions.
