Sadie Sink recently addressed the speculations surrounding her enigmatic character in the forthcoming Spider-Man film titled “Brand New Day.
What was Sadie Sink’s response to the Spider-Man: Brand New Day Rumors
During an extensive conversation with Deadline on various subjects, Sink was questioned about the rumors surrounding her character. Sink admitted to having come across these speculations and found the intrigue appealing, however, she chose to remain tight-lipped about her impending part.
Sink mentioned, ‘There’s been an abundance of intriguing gossip lately.’ Reading it has been quite enjoyable. Honestly, I’m a huge fan of the Marvel Universe, and these rumors are simply fantastic.’
At this point, it’s uncertain what role Emma Sink will have in the movie, but there are strong suspicions that she might portray May “Mayday” Parker, who is Peter Parker’s daughter. The whispers circulating hint that Sink could be the offspring of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man character and Kirsten Dunst’s Mary Jane Watson. If true, this would introduce a multiverse element to the upcoming film.
Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his work on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (released in 2021), is now overseeing Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Earlier, he was linked to direct the fourth Avengers film, initially titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, but he resigned from that position in November 2023.
As reported by Deadline, it’s anticipated that Zendaya will reprise her role as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned in Spider-Man: A Fresh Start. Additionally, Sadie Sink from Stranger Things has been added to the cast, although her specific role has yet to be revealed. At present, the plot details for the movie are being kept confidential.
This upcoming movie is being co-produced by Sony’s Amy Pascal and Marvel’s Kevin Feige, with filming set to start towards the end of this year.
The fourth installment of Spider-Man is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on July 31, 2026. This movie will come out before Avengers: Doomsday, which has been moved to December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars, slated for December 17, 2027.
