In a second stint as host, the actress from Abbott Elementary began her speech by emphasizing that regardless of one’s background or height, anyone can excel at any endeavor in life. She exclaimed, “Even if you’re small like me, only 4 feet 11 inches! Yes, that’s true. I’m short… But I embrace my shortness, and I want to encourage fellow short individuals to remember there are no limits to what you can achieve. Tonight, this is our moment, shorties!

In a lively turn, I couldn’t help but burst into a tune extolling my petite stature: “Short and sweet, short is just fine! A single glass of wine, and I’m on cloud nine!” I also took the opportunity to highlight the success stories of fellow shorties in the industry, like Sabrina Carpenter who made a delightful surprise appearance on our show. In my monologue, I name-dropped some impressive names such as Tom Holland, Kendrick Lamar, and Simone Biles, proving that height is no barrier to greatness.
Later on, a carpenter stepped up onto the stage alongside Quinta Brunson, and together they traded amusing remarks about their shared short stature. One of the jokes went like this: the singer playfully asked Brunson, “Now here’s something for you to ponder. When you read short stories, do they seem more like full-length novels to you?” Additionally, the duo was joined on stage by Saturday Night Live cast member Marcello Hernandez and retired NBA player Dwayne Wade.
