Is Sabrina Carpenter joining Marvel Cinematic Universe?

It’s being rumored that Sabrina Carpenter might join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). There’s increasing chatter suggesting she could play the part of Dazzler, a popular singer who is also a mutant in the X-Men world.

A source within the industry, @MyTimeToShineHello, announced on a platform similar to Twitter that Sabrina Carpenter may be in talks with Marvel Studios for the role of Alison Blaire, also known as Dazzler, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). While Marvel hasn’t verified the information yet, the speculation has generated excitement among fans, especially those eagerly awaiting the upcoming X-Men reboot.

Currently, Carpenter hasn’t explicitly responded to the Dazzler rumors. Yet, she has voiced her interest in working within the action genre before. In a 2022 interview with Cosmopolitan UK, the pop star revealed that she’s long harbored a dream of starring in an action film.

The popular musician disclosed his dream acting role: “Ever since I saw ‘Kick-A–’ as a kid, I’ve yearned to star in an action film. It seemed incredibly exciting to me then, and I still feel the same way now. So, if given the chance, I’d love to be part of that genre.

The chatter about the upcoming X-Men reboot persists to escalate, as various performers are said to be under consideration for mutant characters. Names such as Harris Dickinson (for Cyclops), Margaret Qualley (Rogue), Julia Butters (Kitty Pryde), Hunter Schafer (Mystique), Ayo Edebiri (Storm), and Trinity Bliss (Jubilee) are being tossed around, with more potential candidates to come (according to Comic Book Movie).

According to reports, Director Jake Schreier is said to be negotiating for the project, and a script penned by Michael Lesslie is involved. As of now, there’s no confirmed release date set.
