In simple terms, “Welcome to Wrexham” is a documentary series on FX that focuses on actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as they take over the management of the Welsh football team, Wrexham A.F.C. The series first aired in August 2024.

Looking forward to the debut of Wrexham Season 4! It’s set to air on FX on May 15, 2025, at 9 p.m., both Eastern and Pacific Time. Initially, you’ll get two episodes, with the remaining eight being released over the following days. In the upcoming Season 4 of Wrexham, we’ll delve deeper into the journey of Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds as they steer the third oldest professional football club globally. Simultaneously, we’ll explore the aspirations and concerns of Wrexham, a hardworking city in North Wales, UK, as these two Tinseltown celebrities shape the destiny of their cherished Club.
The show is overseen by a team of executive producers that includes McElhenney, Reynolds, Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Ker, Nick Frenkel, George Dewey, Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Andy Thomas. More Better Productions, Maximum Effort Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Boardwalk Pictures are the companies responsible for producing it.
Since its debut, the show “Welcome to Wrexham” has garnered significant praise from critics and awards alike. It’s raked in a host of honors, such as eight Primetime Emmy Awards and two Critics’ Choice Television Awards. Season 2 of “Welcome to Wrexham” premiered in September 2023, followed by the arrival of Season 3 in May 2024.
