As a long-time fan of Ryan Murphy’s captivating storytelling, I can hardly contain my excitement for his latest creation, “The Beauty.” From Glee to American Horror Story, Murphy has consistently pushed boundaries and delivered compelling narratives that keep us hooked. The fact that this new series will be based on the gripping comic book series of the same name by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley promises a unique blend of suspense, drama, and intrigue that I can’t wait to see unfold.
A new Ryan Murphy series titled The Beauty has been given a series order by FX.
Over the last twenty years, Murphy has become renowned for producing multiple television shows, such as Glee, American Horror Story, Feud, 9-1-1, Ratched, and many others. Recently, the second season of his series, Monster: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, debuted on Netflix.
By the specified deadline, FX has granted Murphy an order for a 11-episode series of a new show titled “The Beauty”. Production on this show is anticipated to commence this autumn.
In the upcoming series, Evan Peters – a familiar face to Murphy’s projects – joins forces with Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope. Interestingly, not only are these three actors part of the cast, but they will also take on the role of executive producers alongside Peters.
What else do we know about Ryan Murphy’s The Beauty?
At present, specific storyline details are being kept secret, but The Beauty is inspired by the comic book series bearing the same title, which was published by Image Comics and created by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley.
In today’s world, there’s an overwhelming focus on external attractiveness, as depicted in this comic. Imagine if there was a method that ensured constant enhancement of your beauty daily? But what if this miracle solution turned out to be a sexually transmitted infection? That’s the premise of The Beauty. In this universe, achieving physical perfection is as simple as one sexual encounter. However, most people have embraced it without realizing its dire consequences. Detectives Vaughn and Foster are about to uncover the devastating price tag attached to this seemingly irresistible offer. Their journey will lead them through a maze of corrupted politicians, vindictive federal agents, and a ruthless mercenary who has put a bounty on their heads.
Murphy is co-creating, writing, and executive producing the television show alongside Matt Hodgson.
As reported by Deadline, the show will feature both a male and female lead. The hunt is on for an actress who will join Peters, Ramos, Pope, and Kutcher in this series, suggesting that she may be paired with one of them, possibly Peters, to portray Vaughn and Foster’s characters. It is speculated that Kutcher will take the role of a tech billionaire.
Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich, and Eric Gitter will additionally act as executive producers for the series titled “The Beauty,” which is being jointly produced by 20th Television and Ryan Murphy Television.
