During a recent interview on the Nightcap podcast, director Ryan Coogler of Black Panther discussed potential plans for the third film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series, as well as whispers about Denzel Washington possibly joining the action in Wakanda.
When queried regarding the timeline of the next installment, Coogler replied to hosts Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson, “Not much time will pass.” During promotional activities for “Gladiator 2,” Washington hinted at a role in “Black Panther 3” penned by Coogler. However, during interviews, Washington seemed to retreat from this statement, but when asked about it on the podcast, Coogler referred to Washington as a living legend and a valuable mentor who always has our best interests at heart.
Regarding the project, Coogler expressed his enthusiasm, stating: “I can’t wait to collaborate with Denzel, and I’m eager for us to make it a reality. My plan is to work with him in this film, as long as he’s on board – it’s definitely going to happen.
