As a dedicated admirer, I’m thrilled to share that the illustrious Russell Crowe is gearing up for another epic clash against the mighty Roman Empire, this time in a captivating new endeavor titled “The Last Druid”.
According to the storyline, The Last Druid follows a Roman Emperor’s journey as he uncovers a hidden Druid fortress nestled amidst the mountains of Caledonia. A tranquil Celtic elder is compelled to summon his inner warrior to shield his loved ones and community from impending destruction.
Who’s directing The Last Druid?
Filmmaker Will Eubank, who specializes in underwater filmmaking, will be helming “The Last Druid,” a project he co-wrote with Phil Gawthorne and Carlyle Eubank. Notably, Eubank has previously directed films like “Love,” “The Signal,” “Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin,” and “Land of Bad.” Apart from “The Last Druid,” Eubank is also preparing to direct another thriller titled “The Epiphany.
The production of the project is being handled by Ben Pugh, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger, and Adrián Guerra. Brandon Millan, Sam Wasson, and George Hsieh are serving as the executive producers.
In the upcoming project, titled The Last of Druid, Crowe will be teaming up again with director Eubank. They previously worked together on the action-thriller Land of Bad, which also featured Liam Hemsworth, Luke Hemsworth, Ricky Whittle, and Milo Ventimiglia.
Crowe is primarily recognized for his portrayal of Maximus in the 2000 historical epic Gladiator directed by Ridley Scott, a performance that earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor. Among his most notable lead roles are: John Nash in A Beautiful Mind, Jeffrey in The Insider, Bud in L.A.
