Roofman Trailer: Channing Tatum & Kirsten Dunst Star in Crime Movie

The official trailer for “Roofman,” a forthcoming crime film featuring Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst, has been unveiled by Paramount Pictures.

The movie “Roofman” is inspired by the real-life events of Jeffrey Manchester (portrayed by Tatum), a troubled father and ex-convict who used to burglarize McDonald’s restaurants by accessing them through the roof, hence earning the nickname “Roofman.” To avoid being caught, Manchester took refuge within a Toys “R” Us store.

What happens in the Roofman trailer?

Six months have passed, yet no clues about the whereabouts of the fugitive infamously known as ‘The Roofman’ remain elusive,” a voiceover states in the trailer. The scenes then transition to Manchester, who has found refuge within the walls of an abandoned Toys “R” Us. Despite his efforts to disconnect recording devices, he continues to live there unnoticed. Footage shows him entertaining himself after hours within the store.

In Manchester’s world, meeting Leigh, portrayed by Dunst, brings about significant change. Leigh, a divorced mother, finds herself drawn to Manchester’s irresistible allure. With Leigh around, Manchester begins to ponder abandoning his criminal lifestyle. The official summary suggests that “his dual existence starts to fray,” leading to an intriguing and suspenseful cat-and-mouse chase as his past catches up with him.

Besides Roofman, the cast includes Ben Mendelsohn, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, Melonie Diaz, Uzo Aduba, Lily Collias, Jimmy O. Yang, and Peter Dinklage.

Derek Cianfrance takes the helm for the film “Roofman,” which he and Kirt Gunn jointly scripted. The producers of this project are Jamie Patricof, Lynette Howell Taylor, Alex Orlovsky, Duncan Montgomery, and Dylan Sellers.

Alongside Jonathan Montepare, Charles M. Barsamian, Chris Parker, Tyler Zacharia, Matthew von Waaden, D. Mark von Waaden, Jack Selby, Rick Covert, and Sam Romano, Tatum and Cianfrance are credited as executive producers.

Roofman is set to open in theaters on October 10, 2025.
