Robinhood: Nithiin and Sreeleela’s film falls victim to piracy, gets leaked online

As an ardent admirer, I can’t contain my excitement as I recount the buzz surrounding Nithiin and Sreeleela’s movie, Robinhood. The anticipation escalated when David Warner joined the cast, making it a must-watch for fans like me. Released on the 28th of March, the film graced the big screen and left audiences worldwide captivated by its brilliance. Unfortunately, my joy was short-lived as this masterpiece was leaked online and found its way onto numerous illicit websites, depriving us true enthusiasts of the cinematic experience it deserves.

Indeed, you’ve understood correctly! According to Filmibeat, Robinhood has unfortunately become a target of piracy, with various internet links to the movie being shared. As of now, the filmmakers have not publicly commented on this matter. It’s important to note that this isn’t the first instance for Mythri Movie Makers; their hit movie Pushpa 2 also fell victim to online leaks.

It’s uncertain how well Robinhood will do at the box office, given that it was leaked online along with other movies like Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s film, Mad Square, and L2: Empuraan featuring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The release of these films on piracy sites may impact their box office performance.

The increasing issue of piracy is troublesome, given that nearly every newly released movie can be found on the internet. One possible explanation for why creators seem hesitant to discuss this problem might stem from the experiences encountered by Thandel’s team when their own film was pirated online.

If you didn’t know, when Thandel was leaked, its creators held a press conference to discuss the matter. Unfortunately, this only increased focus on the leaked version and had a detrimental effect on the film’s box office performance. In hindsight, they expressed remorse, acknowledging that they should not have addressed the issue at all.

Regarding the movie Robinhood, it’s the work of Venky Kudumula who is both its writer and director. In this production, Nithiin plays two roles: Ram and Robinhood; Sreeleela brings Neera Vasudev to life on screen. Vennela Kishore offers comedic moments as Jyothi, while Rajendra Prasad takes on the character of John Snow. Devdatta Nage, Shine Tom Chacko, and Mime Gopi contribute dramatic depth with their portrayals of Saamy, Victor Varghese, and Varada respectively.

In addition to the main characters, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Brahmaji, Aadukalam Naren, and Shiju are significant figures in this production as well. Notably, cricketer David Warner takes on a special role under the name David Bhai, while Ketika Sharma graces us with her presence during the song Adhi Dha Surprisu.
