It’s possible that Timothée Chalamet could face challenges from Robert Pattinson in Legendary’s upcoming “Dune: Messiah”. Rumors suggest that Pattinson might be considering taking on the antagonist role, which could potentially be Scytale as described in Frank Herbert’s books.
Robert Pattinson hasn’t received any offer yet, but he’s set to star in the sequel to “The Batman” directed by Matt Reeves and make an appearance in Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of “The Odyssey.” Filming for “Dune: Messiah” is expected this summer, with a release date scheduled for December 18, 2026, by Warner Bros.
Director Denis Villeneuve, who is working on the Dune film, has mentioned that this will be his last Dune project as he intends to focus on different endeavors afterwards.
