Two new actors are set to join Robert De Niro in The Whisper Man.
Upcoming Netflix film “The Whisper Man” is adapted from Alex North’s 2019 book with the same title. This movie is helmed by director James Ashcroft, while the screenplay has been penned by Ben Jacoby and Chase Palmer.
Who has joined the cast of The Whisper Man?
Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan have both been cast in The Whisper Man, per Deadline.
In Apple TV+’s Severance, Scott plays the character Mark Scout. Previously, he was famous for portraying Ben Wyatt in NBC’s Parks and Recreation, and has acted in numerous other television series. His movie career encompasses roles in Torque (2004), Step Brothers (2008), The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013), Krampus (2015), Little Evil (2017), Madame Web (2024), and additional films.
As I’m immersed in the gaming world right now, let me share some of my acting adventures outside of it. Currently, you can find me on HBO’s The White Lotus Season 3, playing Jaclyn Lemon. Previously, I brought Maggie Hart to life in the first season of True Detective and starred as Julia Meade in the Mission: Impossible franchise. My filmography also includes roles in classics like The Bourne Supremacy (2004), Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Source Code (2011), Patriots Day (2016), The Craft: Legacy (2020), The Family Plan (2023), and MaXXXine (2024).
The Whisper Man is produced by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Michael Disco.
AGBO is thrilled to begin work on our sixth movie in collaboration with Netflix, stated Russo-Otstot through Tudum. “The Whisper Man offers a chilling suspense but beneath its surface lies a heartfelt and intricate narrative about fathers and sons. We’re fortunate to have Robert De Niro, an exceptional actor, leading the story, with James Ashcroft skillfully directing it.
As a gamer, I’d rephrase that movie description like this: “When my 8-year-old son gets kidnapped, I turn to my estranged old man, a retired cop, for aid. But things take an unexpected twist when I uncover links between his past as a detective and the chilling story of ‘The Whisper Man’, a notorious serial killer whose crimes date back decades.
A release date for The Whisper Man has not yet been announced.
