According to Sting’s announcement, the Role-Playing Game (RPG) titled “Riviera: The Promised Land” is set to launch on Nintendo Switch, giving fans from around the globe an opportunity to play it.
Speaking about gaming platforms, Sting’s “Riviera: The Promised Land” boasts an engaging backstory. First launched on the WonderSwan Color in 2002, it found its way onto the Game Boy Advance two years later. An upgraded version surfaced in 2007, compatible with the PSP, and a fully remastered one has been accessible for iOS and Android devices since May 2024, preceded by a PC variant in July.
Following the launch of the remastered version for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on February 28, Western players are now able to assume the role of the Grim Angel Ein, engaging in battles against demons and other Grim Angels to contain the Accursed, the four embodiments of evil.
The remastered version includes:
- Option to change background music with five types of sound sources
- Play mode with up to 5x speed
- Event skip function
- All illustrations available in high-definition
- Ease of play greatly improved by difficulty level and mode selection
- Boost function that allows you to quickly learn skills
- Improved user-friendly interface
- Function to switch voices between Japanese and English
On November 28, globally, Sting’s reworked edition of “Riviera: The Promised Land” will be available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch. The game is priced at $34.99, but if you pre-order it now, you can enjoy a 15% discount, bringing the price down to $29.74.
