As a lifestyle expert, I find Rishab Shetty‘s journey to be nothing short of inspiring. His dedication to his craft and his unique approach towards filmmaking is truly commendable. It’s fascinating to see how he has taken roots from his hometown, Keradi, Karnataka, and transformed it into a cinematic hub with his movie Kantara.
Award-winning actor Rishab Shetty has ventured into a distinct genre of films, focusing heavily on intricate characters and plotlines. Although some fans hope to see him tackle a wider range of roles, he’s recently discussed collaborating with the contentious director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
During his appearance on Rana Daggubati’s show, Rishab Shetty expressed that Sandeep Reddy Vanga possesses an extraordinary movie-making vision unlike any other, even amidst the ongoing debates surrounding him.
The actor from Kantara continued, “It’s mind-boggling; no one else seems to have his unique thought process, and I believe he himself might not be able to replicate it. I’m eager to collaborate with him on any ongoing projects of his.
As we continue our discussion, Rishab shared his desire for his childhood home, Keradi in Karnataka, to become a center for film production – a dream that has long been close to his heart.
The star expressed his wish to shoot one of his films in his hometown, surrounded by trees and forests, and thereby contribute to creating a film city there, which finally got fulfilled with his film Kantara.
He said, “I scouted this location for multiple movies, but it never worked out. Then came Kantara, which was finally shot here. It was a collective effort; over 700 people from the village contributed.” He added that because of the overwhelming involvement, he calls his home KFC—Keradi Film City.
At his current job, Rishab is busy with grand projects right now. The first one on his list is joining the production team for a prequel to his acclaimed movie Kantara, called Kantara: Chapter 1.
Apart from this collaboration, the actor is working on Jai Hanuman, the sequel to Prashanth Verma’s hit film Hanu-Man. In preparation for the movie, he has undergone an extensive physical makeover.
In addition, Rishab Shetty is set to collaborate with filmmaker Sandeep Singh on an upcoming project titled “The Pride of India: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,” where he will portray the historical character, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
