Under the guidance of Professor Hitesh Tewari from Trinity’s School of Computer Science and Statistics, the Ripple Blockchain Collaboratory is being established. This collaboration mirrors Ripple’s larger University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), which aims to help universities worldwide progress blockchain technology on a global scale by providing support.

Together, Ripple and the school will team up to create a decentralized social media platform. As per recent updates, this partnership seeks to empower users with enhanced privacy and autonomy by minimizing dependence on central powers. Furthermore, within the scope of this partnership, Trinity University will operate an XRP Ledger (XRPL) node, linking the academic institution with Ripple’s blockchain system. This node will enable researchers from Trinity to contribute directly to the worldwide XRP Ledger network, thereby strengthening the bond between academia and the blockchain sector.
