Riot Dev Surprised By A Valorant Player Actually Being Nice

As a seasoned gamer who’s seen more than my fair share of toxicity in multiplayer games, I must say that encountering a player like Nunziu is a breath of fresh air. His story is not just about winning or losing, but about sportsmanship and kindness, qualities that are often overshadowed by the cacophony of insults and taunts that fill the chat windows in many games.

In many multiplayer games, including Valorant, the community isn’t typically recognized for their friendliness towards team members or opponents.

However, an unusual incident occurred when a specific player exhibited exceptional kindness towards both his teammates and adversaries, leaving a Riot Games developer taken aback.

What Goes Around, Comes Around

On the Valorant Reddit forum, user Nunziu shared an account of his recent gameplay session with Valorant.

He stated that he played with a friend who just got into the game. Nunziu was trying to show him the ropes, while a Reyna in the enemy team was popping off. So he tried his best to keep the score even, to make the match as long as possible.

The Reyna then went into all chat with some passive-aggressive comments like:

Nice immo buddy lol.

However, Nunziu informed the Reyna player that they too could acquire one quite effortlessly, given their exceptional skill level.

Following the conclusion of the game, it was revealed that the member of their team who goes by ‘Killjoy’ was actually an employee from Riot. Immediately, this individual rewarded Nunziu and his companion with a Gun Buddy as a token of appreciation for the commendable conduct they displayed.

This is what gaming should be all about. Being rewarded for non-toxic behavior goes a long way.

I hope Nunziu continues being nice in his games!
