Ridge rules against Steffy in a business decision on Bold and the Beautiful (Oct. 29, 2024)

As a long-time viewer of “The Bold and the Beautiful“, I must say, the latest developments at Forrester Creations have me on the edge of my seat! The prospect of Forrester evolving into a global conglomerate, while exciting, seems risky, especially given their traditional approach. Carter’s ideas sound promising, but I can’t help but wonder if they will lead to success or bankruptcy.

At Forrester Creations, there’s a significant increase in tension due to Carter’s business proposal. His aim is to transform the established fashion company into a powerful global conglomerate, which is a direction that the Forresters have never shown interest in pursuing. However, his suggestions for growth, such as introducing a perfume line, forming an alliance with Jabot from The Young and the Restless, and resurrecting the jewelry line, are not being disregarded.

The question arises as to whether accepting too many responsibilities might ultimately lead to Forrester’s dilution or bankruptcy on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Carter, in fact, stated he would invest his own funds together with the family, demonstrating that he was ready to assume this risk personally. Yet, will it be sufficient? The verdict remains unclear, but Ridge, joined by Eric, made a decision contrary to Steffy’s wishes on October 29th’s episode, which concerns her cousin Ivy.

Is Ivy’s jewelry line moving forward on Bold and the Beautiful?

Initially, Steffy believed she had the final say on Ivy’s future at Forrester. To be truthful, the concept of resurrecting the jewelry line wasn’t presented to her in a way that would be agreeable. Carter sprung the idea on her unexpectedly and had already arranged a meeting with Ivy and her niece Electra about their potential roles. Although they were ready, Steffy was taken aback, not having been prepared, and she disliked feeling ambushed, especially when it concerned a decision that would require investing more funds into a struggling line.

It appears that Carter proposed incorporating jewelry into Hope for the Future as a means to increase sales, which could have been beneficial when the brand first faced difficulties. However, the line has remained stagnant for several quarters now. Brooke, Hope, and more recently, Carter – who had previously taken a different stance – suggest that Steffy’s decision to discontinue the line is driven by personal animosity rather than business strategy. The truth seems to be that without Thomas, Hope for the Future is not performing as well as it should and is not showing signs of improvement.

Not willing to take the risk, Steffy vetoed the idea of relaunching the jewelry line. It, however, hasn’t died. Ridge and Eric called Ivy and Electra back to the office to have a meeting. After looking at her portfolio and seeing her growth, they decided it would be in the best interest of the company to bring jewelry back into the fold. Steffy wasn’t consulted first so that does mean that Ridge has a conversation ahead of him that may not go well. But he and his daughter may have bigger fish to fry soon.

He won’t likely oppose Ivy again if Steffy decides to discontinue Hope’s brand, but he’s previously gone against her. Ridge is now in favor of moving on and sees it as purely business, not personal. The jewelry line is back at Forrester, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it will help HFTF. It seems the line may not last as long as Hope anticipates.
