Rhea Ripley Reacts to Dominik Mysterio’s Family Drama

As a long-time WWE fan who has followed the highs and lows of many wrestlers’ careers, I must say that Rhea Ripley’s insightful commentary on Dominik Mysterio’s family drama is both intriguing and entertaining. Her experiences in the ring and behind the scenes have given her a unique perspective on the complex dynamics within the WWE roster.

In a recent statement, former WWE Women’s World Heavyweight Champion Rhea Ripley addressed the personal troubles of her on-screen partner, Dominik Mysterio, whose TV relationship with her began at WWE Clash at the Castle in 2022. During this event, Dominik turned against his father and joined The Judgment Day faction, subsequently adopting a villainous character within the storyline.

Dominik Mysterio’s solo career has flourished independently of his father, and his dynamic on-screen partnership with Rhea Ripley has left fans spellbound. Ripley played a crucial part in Dominik adopting a more assertive character, leading him through a significant heel turn that separated him from his dad, Rey Mysterio. Furthermore, Ripley’s impact was substantial in portraying Dirty Dom’s family strife.

At WWE SummerSlam, Dominik Mysterio, who had previously turned against his own family, repeated the act by siding with Liv Morgan, one of Rhea Ripley’s rivals. This left Ripley shocked and devastated. As a result, there is now tension between them due to this betrayal, and lately, Ripley has spoken about Dominik’s personal family matters.

Rhea Ripley speaks out on Dominik Mysterio’s family drama

In a recent chat with The Wrestling Classic, Rhea Ripley touched upon Dominik Mysterio’s persistent family problems and the WWE icon, Rey Mysterio. Ripley pointed out that Dominik’s ambition to break free from his father’s influence might be at the root of these family struggles.

She pointed out, “It’s clear a person may have unresolved family issues if they get overly enthusiastic about being called ‘daddy.’ After all, they’re suddenly using the term for me, yet they never liked it before. It seems like they’ve got some personal struggles, my friend.

Beyond sharing this insight, Ripley mentioned her ex-partner’s battle to escape the limelight overshadowed by Rey Mysterio. She highlighted that Rey had favored Edge over his own son in 2022. In her words, “Dom needed to step out of Rey’s shadow. It was Rey who chose Edge instead of his own child… I believe Rey was wrong, but at the same time, Dom has caused me more pain than Rey ever did. As a result, I find myself leaning more toward Dom, rather than where he stands currently.

Following the WWE SummerSlam, Rhea Ripley has separated from The Judgment Day and her tag team partner Damian Priest has also been parted ways with them due to Finn Balor’s targeting. Notably, Rhea Ripley will get an opportunity to reclaim the WWE Women’s World Championship at WWE Bad Blood in the coming month. Moreover, Priest is scheduled to battle against Balor during the same event.
