Re:Zero Season 4 First Trailer Features Subaru, Emilia & More

The initial teaser and artwork for “Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World” Season 4 have been unveiled, locking down a release date range for the next installment of this widely acclaimed anime series. This show first debuted in Japan on April 4, 2016, with Seasons 2 and 3 subsequently divided into two parts each. The first halves of Seasons 2 and 3 were released in 2020 and 2021, while the second halves followed in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Following the Season 3 finale’s broadcast in Japan, it was confirmed that production on Season 4 had begun. In May 2025, it was officially announced that the anime would resume in 2026.

Re:Zero Season 4 unveils first trailer and confirms release date window

At Anime Expo 2025, Crunchyroll debuted the initial trailer for Re:Zero Season 4 during its Industry Panel and displayed fresh visuals. Additionally, they announced that the forthcoming fourth season of this well-liked anime will be accessible on their platform when it airs in Japan in 2026.

The teaser showcases Subaru Natsuki, Emilia, Beatrice, along with other significant series characters, accompanied by a fresh take on the original season’s primary melody. In the year 2025, multiple media sources announced Fairouz Ai as a new addition to Re:Zero Season 4’s voice cast, portraying Shaula, the Star Guardian of the Pleiades Watchtower. It has been reported that Yūsuke Kobayashi, Rie Takahashi, and Satomi Arai will reprise their roles as Subaru, Emilia, and Beatrice, respectively, in Season 4.

Initially, Re:Zero started as a web novel penned by Tappei Nagatsuki, which was first published on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2012. Later, it evolved into a light novel series with illustrations provided by Shin’ichirō Ōtsuka. As of this writing, both the web and light novel versions are still being produced. The first three seasons of the anime adaptation have covered events up to Volume 20 of the light novels. It’s expected that the fourth season will continue the story from Volume 21 and beyond.
