Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, facing allegations for a violent crime against Renukaswamy, who appears to be his fan, has been in judicial detention since June. Recently, the Kannada actor is said to have been dealing with health complications, including severe back pain while in prison. In a recent development, according to a report by Kannada Oneindia, the accused actor was transferred from Bellary jail for medical consultation to VIMS Hospital.

Additionally, the report indicates that Darshan Thoogudeepa was transported to the hospital under heavy security measures. Upon arrival, doctors performed an MRI scan to determine the source of his pain. Reports indicate that he had been in discomfort for some time and required immediate medical care. Following the examination, Darshan was returned to custody.
Currently, as per an ANI report, Darshan’s legal representative has made a plea for bail due to his urgent need for back surgery. Consequently, the court led by Justice Vishwajit Shetty requested all pertinent medical records regarding Darshan’s condition be submitted. The hearing was then postponed until October 28, 2024.
As a follower keeping a close eye on the situation, it appears that this recent development could potentially lead to the release of the jailed actor on bail by Diwali, which falls on October 31, 2024. Yet, it’s important to note that no official announcement has been made regarding this speculation.
For those not familiar, following the Bengaluru court denying Darshan’s bail, he appealed to the Karnataka High Court, contesting the lower court’s decision in the Renukaswamy case. The popular Kannada actor asked for an urgent hearing of his bail appeal.
