As a dedicated follower of Kannada cinema and a fan of Darshan Thoogudeepa for years, I have been closely following the recent developments in his personal life with a heavy heart. It is disheartening to see such a talented actor and his family going through this ordeal.
On July 24, Wednesday, Darshan Thoogudeepa’s wife and brother had a discussion with Karnataka’s honorable Deputy Chief Minister.
Vijayalakshmi and her brother-in-law had a conversation about Vineesh Thoogudeepa, Darshan’s son, and his academic progress. For those not in the know, Darshan Thoogudeepa is among the 17 individuals currently under suspicion for the heinous crime against Renuka Swamy.
Darshan Thoogudeepa’s brother and wife meet Deputy CM
On July 24, Darshan Thoogudeepa’s wife Vijayalakshmi and his brother Dinakar paid a visit to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar at his house.
According to an article in the Deccan Herald, Shivakumar mentioned that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the possibility of admitting Vineesh Thoogudeepa, Darshan and Vijaylakshmi’s son, back into his school. Previously, Vineesh had attended this school but later transferred to another institution. Now, his mother is seeking to enroll him in Shivakumar’s school once more.
In response to being asked if he would get involved in Renuka Swamy’s case, Shivakumar stated that he wouldn’t be able to do so as he couldn’t intervene in the ongoing police investigation.
Darshan’s deteriorating health
According to an article in TOI, Siddharoodha, who was previously incarcerated with Thoogudeepa, spoke out about the actor’s declining health. He revealed that Darshan had been shedding pounds and his complexion had grown noticeably paler.
Additionally, Siddharoodha mentioned that the Kannada actor, Darshan, passes most of his time in jail by engrossing himself in reading. His library comprises approximately fifteen to twenty books, with some being religious texts.
Darshan Thoogudeepa’s case
Surprisingly, Darshan Thoogudeepa, an actor from Kannada films, and Pavithra Gowda, whom he is rumored to be dating, were taken into custody by the Bengaluru police. This arrest ensued due to their involvement in the murder of Renuka Swamy on June 11.
According to reports, Darshan is alleged to have arranged for men to kill Swamy in response to Swamy’s offensive messages towards Gowda.
Renuka Swamy made allegations against Pavithra regarding Darshan’s troubled marriage, which didn’t sit well with the couple. Sadly, Pavithra was later discovered dead following extensive physical abuse. According to The Telegraph Online’s article, her cause of death was attributed to shock and internal bleeding from numerous blunt force injuries.
