For those unfamiliar, Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his suspected companion Pavithra Gowda were taken into custody by the Bengaluru police on June 11. This arrest was related to the murder of a 33-year-old pharmacist named Renuka Swamy, hailing from Chitradurga.

According to sources, the victim was a fan of Thoogudeepa and had spoken disrespectfully about Gowda. Renuka also claimed that she was responsible for Darshan’s separation from his wife Vjayalakshmi. Subsequently, Pavithra plotted revenge against him, with Darshan Thoogudeepa reportedly encouraging this plan which eventually led to the murder.

It is reported that Darshan may have taken Renuka Swamy into his garage where he is said to have killed him using various weapons. Subsequently, the deceased’s body was discovered dumped in a storm drainage.
