The ongoing saga involving Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his alleged partner Pavithra Gowda is one such case that has left us all in a state of disbelief.
Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa from Kannada, along with his suspected partner Pavithra Gowda, have been detained by the judiciary since June due to the murder of Renuka Swamy. Recently, a request for bail has been submitted by Darshan’s legal representative to the 57th Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge court in Bengaluru. It is expected that the court will review this case on Monday, September 23rd.

It’s crucial to note that the Kamakshipalya police have compiled an extensive 3,991-page charge sheet against 17 suspects, among them, none other than Darshan Thoogudeepa.
Following the submission of the charge sheet, Darshan’s legal team opted to file an appeal for bail. Unfortunately, the bail requests for other defendants, including actress Pavithra, were denied. It’s important to note that these remaining accused plan to reapply for bail before their judicial custody ends on September 30.
Simultaneously, Darshan’s family plans to file a grievance with the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) over Ballari prison officials, alleging that the jailed actor is not receiving adequate facilities within the jail. Contrarily, as reported by The New Indian Express, a senior prison official denies these claims, stating that Darshan is being treated in accordance with prison regulations. Additionally, it has been confirmed that he has been provided a TV and a surgical chair in his cell.
For those unfamiliar, Darshan is currently in jail due to accusations of his role in the violent murder of a fan named Renuka Swamy. According to various sources, Renuka had made offensive comments about Pavithra, which seemed to upset the Kannada actor. Consequently, it’s alleged that Darshan arranged for the murder of Renuka Swamy through his associates.
