Lately, Mohan Babu has found himself embroiled in various disputes and controversies. One such issue involves a disagreement with his son Manchu Manoj within their family. Currently, he is dealing with legal complications due to accusations surrounding the death of actress Soundarya. It’s important to note that she tragically lost her life on April 17, 2004, at the age of 31, in a plane crash.
Reports indicated that Soundarya was en route to Karimnagar for a political campaign when an unfortunate accident occurred, claiming the life of her brother as well. Tragically, it was also reported that Soundarya herself was pregnant at the time, and the family’s grief deepened as they were unable to recover her remains.
Based on a report from News18 Kannada, it’s suggested that Soundarya’s death wasn’t an accident, but a premeditated killing. The theory originated from a property disagreement with Mohan Babu. The dispute was over a six-acre plot which Soundarya and her brother, Amarnath, reportedly refused to sell to the seasoned actor. This disagreement is said to have caused a rift, leading some to allege that it escalated to the point of arranging her murder.
18th News Kannada stated that the accuser claimed Mohan Babu coerced his siblings into selling their property. Following the plane crash, it’s alleged that he illegally seized control over the specified parcel. The reason behind the plane crash remains unverified.
Chittimallu, who made the complaint, has lodged grievances with both the ACP of Khammam and the District Officer. In their plea, they asked the government to assume ownership over the land, proposing potential uses such as building orphanages, residential quarters for police and military personnel, housing for media professionals, or similar purposes.
The complaint additionally highlighted ongoing conflicts within the Manchu clan, seeking fairness for Manchu Manoj and the confiscation of a six-acre inn in Jalpalli. The complainant further alleged feeling threatened due to Mohan Babu’s power. They have petitioned for police security.
